After putting my artistic ambitions aside to pursue teaching and start a family, I became endlessly inspired by the picture books I read to my children when they were young. As my kids grew older, I began to draw and paint again in my spare time. I even wrote and illustrated a few children’s books.

Currently, I am working on a book for the George Miksch Sutton Avian Research Center about the incredible work they have done to bring the southern bald eagle back from near extinction.
